Audi Personal Online Assistant Highly Commended at the Digital Awards

Congratulations to Audi on again being recognized for the great service they are delivering through their Personal Online Assistant (POA)! The Digitals 2014, created by EConsultancy, honor the best work in digital marketing and ecommerce and celebrate the teamwork of these initiatives to truly reflect the collaborative nature of the digital industry. These awards were presented in November at London’s Tobacco Dock on the first night of the Festival of Marketing conference.

The judges, from companies including John Lewis, Selfridges, BBC, HSBC, Microsoft, Telstra, and Virgin Atlantic reviewed more than 700 entries, creating a shortlist of 189 companies before announcing the finalists and winners at the dinner celebration. The projects were judged on how they relate to business objectives, best practices or innovative approaches used, how effective the project was executed and what results were obtained.

In the automotive category, Audi was highly commended for its Audi Personal Online Assistant, powered by Vee24.  This solution is available on Audi’s German and Japanese websites and uses live video, voice and co-browsing to help customers find an customize an Audi vehicle to suit their needs.  Personal Online Assistants can have a face-to-face conversation with customers while also viewing different web pages and walking through the online car configuration tool together.  Audi POA is the closest thing to an in-dealer experience and available without customers needing to download or install any software. The Personal Online Assistant represents the heart of the Audi brand, ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’ meaning, ‘Advancement through Technology’.
